Associate Dentist (Endodontist)
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of conditions affecting the tooth pulp, root, and surrounding nerves and tissues. Review patient medical history to evaluate their dental health and perform radiographs, CBCTs, and other diagnostic procedures to diagnose and assess the severity of dental conditions. Perform a variety of endodontic procedures including root canals, root canal retreatments, apicoectomies, and internal bleaching. Utilize microscopes and other dental technology to examine a patient’s root structure and remove any infected tissue in the bone. Perform retreatment procedures to clean root canals and examine the inside of the previously infected teeth. Ensure the proper administration of anesthetics and write prescriptions for antibiotics and medications. Stay abreast of the latest technological advances and industry trends in endodontics, dentistry, and dental technology. The position will be supervising two (2) Front Desk Receptionists and two (2) Back Office Dental Assistants.
Requirements
The position requires a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a post-graduate certificate in Endodontics. Equivalent foreign degrees are acceptable. The position requires a valid license to practice dentistry in the State of Texas and one year of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience gained prior to the completion of the degree is acceptable. The position requires knowledge and skills in endodontic procedures.
