Just as with traditional teeth whitening treatments, internal bleaching is effective but not permanent. To help prolong the color and to prevent staining, limit foods or drinks that may cause discoloration. These include red wine, coffee, and tea. You will also want to stop smoking and using tobacco products, if you currently do so. Finally, brushing twice a day for at least two minutes each time with a fluoride-based toothpaste, flossing daily, and scheduling regular checkups and cleanings with your dentist will help you maintain good oral health and keep your smile bright and shining.
